Marjorie has extensive experience working with all aspects of redeveloping downtown and small towns, outlining strategies and tactics that have proven successful in redevelopment of Downtown Delray Beach for the past two decades.

 

As Executive Director for the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) since 1993, she spearheaded the revitalization of the city to encompass daytime and nighttime economy and activity.  Under her dedicated leadership and tireless effort, Delray Beach was successfully branded as the Village by the Sea.  Her responsibilities encompassed promoting Downtown Delray Beach locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

 

Simultaneous to the DDA position, she also served as Executive Director for the Downtown Marketing Cooperative from 1993 to 2010, successfully coordinating local agencies creating special events drawing millions of visitors and residents to downtown.  Earlier careers in retail and tourism arenas spanning 25 years included Buyer for Jordan Marsh Departments Stores in Florida and Assistant Managing Director for Miami Seaquarium.
